The idea was simple, build a web app that people can use to find local markets and vendors; so we kept the website as simple as possible!
We built LocalTrove.com on top of Drupal (our CMS of choice) and built the mapping application using the Open Layers API. Users are able to search for events, view vendors participating at the event, and then view the vendor's profile to see other events they participate at. We achieved the complex relationship functionality with all sorts of Drupal entity references and custom rules.
