Mia & Maxx Signage - To stand out from the plasticine model images young consumers are bombarded with in malls, we took this campaign in a looser, more spontaneous direction. We wanted to show real, relatable kids who had attainable styles, so we cast DJs (the MisShapes), art students, and skateboarders. We scouted graffiti-covered walls on the Lower East Side for backgrounds. The photography style is intentionally snapshot-like. Creative Director: Michelle Vipond Art Director: Hilary Davis Photography: Guy Aroch

Mia & Maxx Newsletters - These in-salon newsletters were distributed seasonally to stylists. To keep them engaged, the layouts changed with each issue. Since they were small print runs, I experimented with metallic ink on cardstock, rainbow gradients overprinted on opaque white ink, and giraffe clip art.
