Davison_Cuban Girl piece 6
This is a composition created for ART250 at UMUC. I had to scan some objects and create a graphic. The image of the girl is from a photograph given to me by her father. The image was sculpted in porcelain scanned into Photoshop on a layer over a black background. Then the leaves (found in a lot across the street from my house were scanned and layered over the image of the sculpture. This was the first time I combined hand crafted objects to compose a piece with natural found objects. This was also the first time I worked with Photoshop layers and actually had confidence that I knew what I was doing.
