We were supposed to redesign the newspaper vending machine as part of a school assignment. My partner and I decided to pair the newspaper up with coffee because we think this will increase sales and activity at the machines. These renderings were done by my partner, Andres Rodriguez.

The left side is the newspaper side. There is a interactive touch screen that will be broadcasting ads while it's idle. We thought this was an important feature since ads bring in the most revenue for newspapers, and the digital display will be more eye catching than the traditional paper ads.
Environment - A rendering of the machine in its environment. The machine is designed to be indoors like a soda machine.
This machine can be operated with one hand, so the consumer can holding their wallet, bag, files, books, etc while operating the machine.

We had based the placement of each feature based on ergonomics and other human factors, aiming for the 50th percentile male & female.
