KAIST Buddy Program Spring 2015 Concept
While I am planning to retire on the Buddy Program, my final job was to create a design concept for the next Buddy Program.
I wanted to create a connection between the current Program and the one for the Spring semester, so I decided to continue with the same colour scheme, but rather than use a solid shape, like the post-it notes, I opted for something a little more abstract. I hoped that the Spring Buddy Program will not just be "improved" from the past, but will be "new and improved", having its own distinct style. The crayon-styled brush was an excellent choice for this, as it leaves the image that it is just the beginning of an artwork, but still leaves homages to its predecessor. On the other hand the text contrasts strongly with the abstract feel, being rigid, yet not so sharp that it starts to conflict with the drawing. Both oppose and yet at the same time emphasize each other.
