Introduction to Illustrator - Design & Illustration Course Fall 2008. I recently found this piece when going through my old files. For this project, our professor asked us to pick and artist who inspired us and recreate one of their works utilizing the pen tool, creating a template from the original and coloring the piece using gradient mesh. I chose Alphonse Mucha as my inspiration. I may have been a little ambitious with this piece (I wasn't able to finish it entirely in time for class critiques!) but it was a valuable learning experience.
