The Pedal Powered Washing Machine utilizes the torque from cycling pedal motion to rotate the washing barrel. It is built by combining a used bicycle frame, a barrel, scrap metal, and two buckets through engineering design process.
This project is a study on using cheap and used materials to design useful products to help improve the lifestyle of rural communities. The Pedal Powered Washing Machine is able to provide a easier and more efficient alternative of washing clothes compared to hand washing.
