I developed a public charging station allowing consumers to recharge smart phones for free at retail locations near them. The station has 7 lockable bays with the ability to charge a variety of mobile phones in each bay via iPhone, Micro and Mini-USB adapters. The unit incorporates a touch screen keypad to lock and unlock the charging bays. In addition it has a camera to record customer’s use and misconduct and an audio interface to potentially provide additional assistance to handicapped or visually impaired users.
