Sensation & Perception

Sensation & Perception is an interactive sensory experience based on these concepts. I came up with an interaction for each different sense. For the visual sense, the association was focus or dominant image. For taste, the association was genetics. For touch, the user was to consider memory. For hearing, the association was age. For smell, gender preference was considered.

The exterior package is a sleeve that both the book well and packaging well fit into, with a bellyband to secure it all together. The bellyband features die cut radials that create an interesting visual effect when the bellyband slides off the package.

This project was a winning entry in AIGA's 2013 Philadelphia Design Awards.
