This selection of Christmas items was for a Tesco office competition. The 1st price was given to the team who's POS supplier could make the most grand and colourful Christmas display, SPS was given 2 weeks to design, produce and deliver the items shown and I can say with a big grin that we won.
At the beginning of 2016 the 3DE team and I was given a brief to produce a scale model of a Lego Man We decided to add the feature of moving legs, this was a new area of cardboard engineering I hadn't yet experienced and was very glad when I was given the chance to work alongside a senior designer to complete the brief.
In October 2017 I was given the task of redesigning the Lego man to be more cost effective, this involved: reducing the amount of materials used, simplifying the construction and making certain parts symmetrical such as his arms this is turn would make the design more print and production friendly. The final design was then used to produce the famous Lego Batman from the up & coming film.
The cape for the Lego Batman looks like a simple shape but this alone took me a whole day to draw, cut, test and then produce to the correct shape to match the visuals I was given.
This star packaging was for Specsavers, the idea was for the new glasses to be posted to stores in this packaging to promote new brands and styles.
This was my favourite concept designs for the Lush 404 campaign packaging.
This was another concept designs for the Lush 404 campaign packaging.
This was the 3rd concept designs for the 404 campaign packaging, this design involved a lot more material as it was in 2 parts.
This is the packaging for a special edition bath bomb produced by Lush for their Error 404 campaign, the packaging constraints were to hold 1 bath bomb, when opened to fold out to reveal the product and be able to with stand being sent out in the post. I was given the chance to work on this project which I was very delighted about and from various sources I have had great feedback that the campaign went really well.
This was a Christmas promotion display unit for Krispy Kreme to accommodate the 12 doughnut boxes, this was a complex unit to design as the brief was to look like presents piled up, to be able to be sent out flat packed and to be simple to assemble. I received great feedback from the client.

3D Structural Design Portfolio

Since being at SPS as part of the 3DE team I have learnt how to use a whole selection of design programmes including Kasemake 10 which I have used to produce the specification drawings for a wide range of point of sale units and packaging.
I have had the opportunity to work on promotions and product launches for companies such as Lush, Tesco and PlayStation.
