Detroit's Eastern Market - The objective of this project was to select a neighborhood within Detroit's city limits and spend four months documenting and absorbing it, interviewing residents, and creating material that represents its true essence and meaning to the city. Eastern Market is one of the most exciting and welcoming neighborhoods of Detroit, and the focus of these pieces was to demonstrate its texture and heartbeat–to show what a historical gem it is to the city's people and local economy. The poster is in celebration of the market's annual event, Flower Day, and the book is a splah of images and minimal text, meant to leave the viewer feeling as if they have just left the market. The poster was featured in both Detroit's International Wine Catalog and College for Creative Studies' Student Showcase Exhibition 2008.
