The wall hanging is an outcome of open elective module (Ply Split Braiding) for which the theme was 'Bachpan after Pachpan'.
Loneliness is synonymous with old age. But all it takes is a look back at the past and in no time we are travelling in the times gone by. Memories are ever lasting; it is just that we forget to relive them when we need them the most. Reminiscence of the good old memories in our good old days is what I wanted to convey.
I wanted to make something which can put forward the past and the present
in front of the person. Past has been represented through the old pictures and coins.
The mirror was added to bring the two together, to make the person see the reflection of his present amid the bygones.
Ply split Braiding, as a technique, gave an impression of interweaving of the dreams in the display and thus felt suitable for the theme.
