The Rookery Building

Drawing upon the rich cultural and architectural history of one of Chicago's most beloved icons, I sought to design The Rookery identity as a reflection of the architecture. The logotype and detailed patterns evoke the spirit of prestige begun by famed architects Daniel Burnham and John Root in 1885 and continue the tradition today by sampling small details throughout the building.

Multiple pieces of collateral were created to inform potential tenants, educate visiting architectural students, and celebrate the awe-inspiring spaces. The website utilizes the patterns in numerous ways and allows for private reservations suitable for weddings, etc. Historic narrative panels flanking the entrance to the main atrium also tell of Frank Lloyd Wright's modern update to the property and provide deeper insight into the construction. © REA
