The Helix hairdryer is a simple, efficient update of a product we use everyday. Utilizing three separate motors, the fans push air through their respective copper tubes, each of which contain a nichrome heating coil running its length. The exit velocity of the air is increased as well because it is being channeled into smaller diameter tubing. The result is a hairdryer that uses less energy, penetrates deeper into hair, emits more heat than typical hairdryers and simply put, is beautiful.

Helix was completed as part of a week long challenge to redesign a commodity: the hairdryer.
