Archival Ink on plain paper.
This was done off of the first version that was not carved properly because for printing the image should have been reversed. Not to waste linoleum and to still use it I placed a sheet of paper over it and rubbed chalk against the carving (similar to coin rubbing). This is the result.
Final version of my Exlibris. Archival ink print and pencil.

Exlibris. Linoleum Print.

The kitten, which is trying to catch a fly on the page, represents curiosity. This plate would represent the kind of book collection, which is extraordinary, which arises curiosity of readers. These books are frequently read; they become part of the interior. These books are always opened, lying on the owner’s desk in anticipation to tell the story. Everybody in the house is so used to them lying around that even the mischievous kitten makes it the ground for his play.
