TRYGILL BARN Extension & Garage Conversion Slayley
This is a garage conversion and extension in Slayley, Northumberland.
Greatspace Architects proposed to connect the new extension and garage conversion back to the traditional barn conversion via a flat roof 'link'. The extension features bronze form work, tin roofing and modern glazing against Shou Sugi Ban (burnt larch timber) cladding.
The glazing has been arranged to visually connect the spaces back toward the main dwelling. We also decided to sink the landscaping in front of the extension to create more privacy and so that the outdoor furniture has a minimal impact on the stunning views.
