The Landing Frigate
The Landing Frigate (LF) is an innovative platform that can undertake multipurpose missions, both in the littoral and in the ocean. It is targeted at small- and medium-sized navies that seek to find affordable solutions to cover their needs for national security. As the name implies, the vessel combines the virtues of a Frigate with those of a Landing Ship Tank (LST) into one compact, multi-role platform. LF is a hybrid vessel that can operate independently or within a task force, coupling the fire power of a frigate and the transporting capabilities of a landing ship.
