UNTITLED
This piece is the product of an exercise that I proposed to myself: how to create furniture outside the existing concepts. Most objects we see in people's houses are full of that “cultural luggage”. I decided to imagine a table that was not obvious, that was unexpected. It was through this kind of reflection that I created this piece of furniture, using rope, a plank and a brick. When I tried to find something to stabilize the table, I looked for something in our daily life, something that has been taken from its original function and applied to this new one. In this reinterpretation came the idea of using a brick, but not just any brick, it needed to be those traditional ones, like a composition that reminds us of “ready made”. Only this time, I gave practical function to the object. The brick was not made for that purpose, but it's there for a reason.
