PARAMOUR BOOKCASE
This bookcase alludes to the classic scene in which a lover hides behind the closet. In this case the furniture plays with the idea that the lover is already part of the house. It is an object with the typical Brazilian mood. The variety of possibilities for these three niches is endless. An example would be to place in the top niche a book with a picture of a face on the cover, instead of personifying the shelf, or placing travel guides in the upper niche and leaving in the middle one a book of Rio de Janeiro, with a small sculpture of the Sugarloaf - pretty much saying that the mind thinks of the world, but the heart longs for Rio, my hometown.
