CORDAS TABLE

The idea was to create a table free from traditional patterns by changing its support, that is normally held by the feet of the table, and suspending it by ropes. For this, an external structure was created that could hold the table as if she should not stand. To lift the central recess the ropes were wrapped around the entire structure, tensioned from the ends of the holder, and then sewn into the side of the timber. This final solution even demonstrates the simplicity of the details in this project, which go beyond the obvious. The rope is not tied at any specific point, but is weaved throughout the entire table in a way that the observer won´t be able to find where it ends or begins.
