Allotment Manufacturing System
The allotment manufacturing system is designed to locate manufacturing and distribution locally within cities. The model is based on allotment farming where local people own their own patch of land to grow their own food. In this system they grow bio-polymers which can be harvested and used as a material in 3d printers. With material production and manufacturing based at local level it increases employment, promotes local identities and reduces the need for shipping products all over the world.
