This is the concept of automatic rifle, designed for close combat (it could be called also PDW - Personal Defence Weapon) and for 7,62×54mm bullets (but it is optional). It is near 45 cm long folded.

I suggest such kind of rifle design could be suitable to equip space crews with it for example )

The main idea was to reach simplicity, high level of usability including settings for personal usage.
