Tweely - This was as school project, where we were asked to create a two wheeled riding toy for children not quite ready for a bicycle yet. It had to resemble an animal. A full scale, functional breadboard model was tested at a local daycare for refinement.
Brooks Track Spike - This was a school project sponsored by Brooks shoes. I was asked to design a lightweight track spike. Many concepts were explored and developed, and feedback from track runners was incorporated into the final design.
Cube Table - Personal project - This is a table meant to compact into a cube when not in use. The chairs fit inside the four sides of the table. Each chair also opens up for storage, as well as the table top. The top can also come with game boards, etc, for multiple uses.
Mailbox Re-Design - This mailbox was designed following the 20 pages of government guidelines for mailbox designs. This new design allows the user to customize a message to announce an occasion, or simply their address. I developed a simple, working mechanism to automatically put the flag down when the box is opened by the carrier, while simultaneously releasing a signal on the back of the box to alert the homeowner from their window that the mail is in. The box also resists vandalism with a spring/hinged base.
Angel Safe Child Carrier - The Angel Safe child carrier is the only child carrier designed specifically for evacuating a child in the event of a fire or other emergency. In this project I helped the client identify improvements to the design of the product, and also suggested and created graphical instructions that were printed directly on the product.
