2006 International Housewares Second Place - My winning IHA concept was for a new method of reheating coffee. The basic architecture held a doses of saline and calcium oxide in seperate chambers. When the belly of the device was squeezed the two chambers mixed creating an exothermic reaction. The device can be stirred or clipped to a cup to reheat a beverage. The product has been showcased on HGTV and MSN.
Everyday Furniture - This was a piece for a chair studio at the University of Cincinnati. The idea was to create a piece of furniture that could accomodate "everyday life". The actions I was looking to design towards were: to eat, to seat, and to store.
BAGbrella - The beauty of living hinges... a concept just silly enough to work.
