Finished Windmill. Blades created from Polystyrene sheet.
Finished windmill. Solar panels on roof.
Test fit of blades, roof and body. Everything rotates, so ensuring nothing hits is key to success.
Windmill shaft and blade supports.
First walls added to roof. Top section must be designed to come apart if electronics break. Aluminum foil keeps glue from bonding walls to floor; walls held in place for drying by screws through floor.
Final joining in base.
First two walls joined.
Prototype built out of K'Nex. Just to get the scale and shape.

Dutch Windmill

Commission; Create a stylized approximation of a dutch windmill to accompany a water garden. Windmill must have blades and a top structure that rotates in the wind. Bonus feature, solar-powered internal illumination for night viewing.

Constructed from wood, styrene sheet, acrylic sheet, a couple of bearings I had lying around, and two solar walkway lights.
