Funked & Fermented is a kimchi lab created by a local chef in Louisville, Kentucky. The kimchi is small batch, seasonal & locally sourced, then fermented in his fermentation station. Their philosophy is rooted in creative, funky flavor combinations from multiple ingredients. So it’s always about this & that. The product line is comprised of many different core recipes, along with a kimchi of the month club to F&F members. Outside of the monthly club and local grocery stores, the initial customers for F&F were mostly in the culinary industry—being used as a premium ingredient for dishes at restaurants around town. The packaging needed to showcase the beautiful product, have a culinary feel, and feel like it belongs in the latest high-end restaurant.
