The Umbrella Garden served as more than just a work of art. I took into account the institution for which it was being created, as well as the event (Fun Day) that would be the format for the work. I used art to reimagine the purpose Fun Day serves for the institution that hosts the event. As a result, Skidmore was able to use Fun Day as a show case for the creativity that the college fosters.
