Betula Storage Unit
Sponsored Studio Project: The furniture and accessories company, Groovystuff, collaborated with us through the design process. We created a new product for them to sell that matched with the company's existing aesthetic. The designs will be showcased at the High Point Market, and based on consumer reaction, Groovystuff will decide with designs to move into production.
My design is a modular storage unit based on the color and texture of a birch (betula) tree. The frame is made from tubular steel, while the baskets are made from canvas and tree limbs. The baskets come in varying widths of 6", 12", and 18", so that the unit is customizable to the user.
