2nd year Uni project.
The brief was to let the younger generations gain more confidence towards doing DIY tasks, by designing a user-friendly tool for a common DIY task around a regular household. The choosen task was changing a tap. This task seems easy, until the executer realises the very limited amount of space and the lack of suitable tools. This product grants easy access to the main screw at the bottom of the tap by a long and flexible drivesahft which ends in a comfortable grip to offer suitable twisting power and clearence for the hands. The rubber grip also helps to guide the screwdriver end to the right place and offers protection for the fingers in the tight space. Also, the inconvenient body position during the task could be greatly improved, thanks to the long and flexible drive-shaft.
