The Dark Horse/Dragonfly Design collaboration is a project that integrates two very different business models into one space. This space is constructed using reclaimed sea containers clad in traditional as well as new-age building materials. The Dark Horse Espresso Bar occupies the first floor of this new building. The interior and exterior design evokes the traditional feel of the Dark Horse franchise with its reclaimed wood finishes, brick cladding, and framed arched windows. Dragonfly Design Communications labels itself a forward-thinking graphic design studio with a fresh style and casual yet professional attitude. The second floor of this new building becomes the new graphic design studio, with light finishes of modern materials, including weathering steel, polished wood floor boards, and clear glass.
