Cleaning is always an issue in the kitchen, dishwashers are the norm now however there are utensils that cannot be put in the dishwasher or there might be too much washing for a load.
The personal brief I set out for myself is to tackle the issues highlighted by user research around washing up. The storage of cleaning utensils is a major issue in the kitchen area.
Issues:
Draining the cleaning product after use
- The elevation means that water can easily drain from the product after use.
Unhygienic
- After cleaning, the product isn’t in contact with any contaminated surface or object, the draining of the product means that there is less chance for bacteria to set in when comparing to the current solutions.
Visual untidiness
- The docking system means that the utensils are kept uniform and securely in place.
- All components included
- Plastic is easy to clean
- Components are inexpensive to replace
