Lucid House

Lucid House

Thermal heat mitigation and light manipulation is possible through sustainable design features such as the vertical steel louvers and sizable use of concrete walls.

Substantial amount of light is admitted through angular louver position towards eastern daylight “morning daylight” which is advisable resulting to blockage of the afternoon daylight.

Articulated use of concrete walls provide sunshade and acts as heat buffers to minimize heat gain within the structure. The Glass windows and steel louvers form a coherent function of balancing light admission and and heat filtration.

The house features a standard floor to floor height on the ground level and an extended ceiling height on its second level providing thermal comfort. The hallway is shifted towards the right portion of the plan as the interior is accentuated with large glass windows.
