For my High School Directory cover design, I made a graphic design of a face, made of words that are related to school. At first, i had to sketch my idea out, and my teacher scanned it to the computer and i uploaded it to photoshop. I used my sketch as a reference to how my design will be. I wrote out many many words that were warped into face parts. My favorite part of working on the design was making the nose part; i enjoyed stretching the words forward to make it three dimensional for the nose. It was hard in some parts because it was obvious that it was a face, some people would stop by confused, asking what I was making and when I say it is a face they wouldn’t understand. I had to change things up to make it obvious such as not filling in the eyes and just leaving the shape in. But overall the project did meet my expectations and I think it’s the best project I’ve done so far, but next time I’ll go for something simpler.
