Hotrod Bent Ply Couch - Laminated plywood couch based on a 1920s tourer. As well as visually referencing 20s car design though the body shape, mudguard legs, and fluted red upholstery, the piece incorporates some of the tactile feel of sitting in a car from this era, through the deeply angled, wire sprung seat on which you ride up high with your elbows on the windowsills. Designed and hand-made for the Haworth Canberra Contract Furniture Award.
