Hedon is a new-wave craft beer company, established in 2014, when the renaissance of micro breweries in Hungary is reaching its peak, bringing more and more customers into the world of quality beers. The brand has an expanding range available in special beer shops and craft beer pubs. Their name derives from “hedonism” so we chose the figure of a typical hedonist for the logo. That’s how this beer-bathing guy was born, who enjoys his life and lives for the moment.
As beer drinking became a sophisticated activity and the brews became better and better, design was somehow forgotten and all bottles looked the same. We designed something that pops out on a shelf. This was a prestige project for us as graphic design, packaging, industrial design and copy-writing were involved. The design process was extremely free and easy-going that is reflected in the outcome.
This was the beginning of a complete, integrated design project.
