This drawing using cross-hatching with both black and white charcoals on gray-tinted paper to create the illusion of space, volume, and stiffly creasing fabric.
This drawing was created with a first layer charcoal smear, followed by erasure to create the white spaces, accented with smudged black and white charcoal where needed.
