History of Costume Illustrated Digital Vocabulary List CH 1
These clay figures, c. 7000 BCE, depict women wearing beads and woven bands. The tallest figure appears to be wearing beads over her head, while the two smaller figures are wearing spirally woven head pieces and collars. As indicated by the textbook on pages one and two, little else was worn prior to 3000 BCE when Mesopotamia was founded. These statues are found in Mehrgarh, Pakistan.
