ARCH 1030 / Del Parque Street / Fall 2001 - After compiling the street data and analyzing it, I conceptualized all these conditions. I found that there was a great difference between the scale and the space of the street, creating a constant dislocation of space. With the conceptual posture of dislocation I conceived the project of designing a hostel in Del Parque Street.
What is the most economic house? - I argued that the most economic house could be achieved with education. By acquiring proper education the person will realize what is better for their living necessities and will finally have the instruments needed to create new solutions. My objective was exemplified by what I call the Tube3 Share. This idea consisted in creating a chair with three tire tubes. The item would come with an instruction booklet that teaches the user how to create different types of chairs.
ARCH 2010 / Cruz Street / Fall 2002 - In this project the intervention was in the historic site of Old San Juan. We needed to design a conservation school. The strategy was to create an introversive building keeping the old facade of the existing structure. Being that the old structure was completely in ruins, the only thing worth saving was the facade. Using the concept of fortification walls typical to Old San Juan, the conservatory school was to be supported by an (L) shaped wall that also doubled as an entrance.

ARCH 3010 / For a New Old San Juan / Fall 2003 - What will the future hold for Old San Juans historic streets? That was the question asked by the ARCH 3010 course. It triggered a rigorous documentation of the existing conditions of the buildings and infrastructures; including foundations, historic underground tunnels and elevated power supplies installed in the roof tops of the historic buildings. The American Institute of Architects honored this project in 2005.
ARCH 4030 / Architectural Radiography - This project consisted in designing a new Building for the Arecibo Observatory that accommodated eight rooms for the visiting scientists. I used the context elements to create the tectonics of the building, identifying three different materials that were employed in the site.
