MFA Thesis Project
In this series, I translate into jewelry the memories and images of my travels around the world. I am inspired by design motifs prevalent in the cultures visited. Using photographs taken during the trips, I create jewelry using computer-aided design, rapid prototyping and various post-printing techniques, giving life to the experiences long after the suitcases have been put away.
From the undulating terraces of the Andes Mountains to fish vendors and lights filling the crowded streets of Hong Kong, these sights have changed me and shaped my work. The collection as a whole is an encyclopedia of my experiences traveling and remembering.
