This project is about the exploration of cultural values involved in tea drinking. Workers being worker ritualistically take lots of tea and cigarette breaks whilst reading the newspaper glued to page 3. I decided to aim my product towards Britains predominantly mail workers. My intention was to design a product that doesnt take itself to seriously picking up on innuendos and connotations but keeping ritualistic behaviours with tea, workers, breaks and newspapers.
The product is very simple, the tea balls are placed into a cup, hot water is pored over them, the blue centres dissolve, that's when the user knows the liquid has been fully transferred into the water, which leaves the outer ring holders to dispose of.
