Planning Theory and Practice

This project focused on ana analysis of a major urban renewal project in the mid-20th Century. I chose Edgehill within the city of Nashville because of the intersection of race, history and cultural touchstones of the American South. It also stands as a great example of the lack of connectivity forced on many unfortunate Americans as a result of the construction of inner-city superhighways, as Interstate 40 cuts all but two streets of this neighborhood off from the central districts of Nashville.
