With SmartThings sensors, you can control every aspect of your home—from lights that slowly brighten as you wake up, to security sensors that alert you when someone opens a door. To showcase these innovations, Uneka collaborated with Smartthings to design a cohesive packaging solution for the entire Smarthings collection and kit systems. The result is simple unboxing and elegant details.
We targeted a green packaging design that would stand up to the rigors of shipping. The box is soft to the touch as it unfolds in the consumer’s hands. The device is revealed beautifully with a soft concave form, and the accessories are easy to remove. PaperFoam™ interior trays surpass the company's environmental standards, and bold exterior graphics make the product really pop. The overall packaging enhances the industrial design of SmartThings—clean, bright, and simple, just like the connected home.
