AH! Wireless Speaker

One of the most challenging projects in terms of production. This project helped me understand that design is not only about the outside but the internal components as well. The Ah! Speaker is based on an exclamation mark and is a small and usefull wireless speaker. Its body is mainly polycarbonate with rubber sides for a better grip. The shape allows a better and more ergonomic grip and also a sensorial experience. The speaker was designed for injection molding and features snaps, ultrasonic welding and use of electronics in its design. It is not only a complete design but also the result of testing and thinking beyond a shape or a nice look.

Materials: Polycarbonate structure, rubber detail, acrylic and prefabricated electronic elements.

Random Fact: This was the very first time I was asked to sketch over 30 concepts for the next class and was also the first time I was involved in the interior design of a plastic piece.
