Across (R&D for Luceplan 2021). A linear suspension lamp composed of three interconnected axes of different sizes, to create compositions with different images and levels of complexity. The structure is formed by a horizontal extruded body that contains an optical group for direct lighting, and two hinged sliding elements that make it possible to attach the lamp to the wall or the ceiling. The lamp’s adaptability gives rise to various configurations to respond to different technical and stylistic needs.
The Flia family (R&D for Luceplan 2019-2020) of outdoor floor lamps combines technological aspects with rigorous expressive forms. The miniaturization of the light source is a key factor with its tiny cast aluminum head and antiglare policarbonate optics. The carbon stem onto which the light source is held is supported by a cast aluminum IP65 waterproof cylinder and grants the lamp strength, lightness and flexibility. Flia is available in a single configuration – with three different heights – or multiples – with 2 or 3 stems – and can be fixed to floors and decks, or - in the USB rechargeable version - put as a portable lamp directly on the ground.
Bulbullia (R&D for Luceplan 2018). A series of parabola of different sizes intersect to generate the characteristic geometric form of soap bubbles; conical, broad and flat shapes, each composed of a silhouette in highly reflective satined white polycarbonate, slightly bent to take on a structural nature. Each bubble has a LED with a custom engineered comoulded PMMA optics at its center: it is the core of the lamp, and thanks to built-in dimmable LEDs spreads appealing, soft light that is reflected towards the inside of the cone.
Compendium Plate (R&D for Luceplan 2017). Another extension of the luminous alphabet of the Compendium family, now interpreted by Daniel Rybakken in the ceiling, applique and suspension versions as well. The external profile in anodized extruded aluminium conserves the slim original thickness, creating a surface almost flush with the wall. In spite of its extremely slender design, Compendium Plate provides extraordinary lighting efficiency combined with a clean form and extreme elegance.
Garbì (R&D for Luceplan 2016). An applique in a single solid volume of soft, regular surfaces that meet to create precise edges that become striking graphic signs. Available in two finishes – aluminium with matte white powder coating in an embossed effect, or with external finish in high gloss sputtered aluminium – Garbí surprizes even when turned off, because ambient light brings out the subtle contrast of solid vs hollow of its gently shaped form.
Cappuccina (R&D for Luceplan 2015). A family of table, floor and suspension lamps with a spherical luminous body in opaline glass, containing an LED module, on which the fabric shade simply rests, just held in place by smart balancing of its dimensions and materials. The shade can thus be freely moved to orient the light. The decoration of the fabric, made with digital printing and then bonded with polycarbonate, is a design in the design. Four patterns are available, other can be customized for the contract sector.
Stochastic (R&D for Luceplan 2015). A suspension lamp with an evocative character. Composed of glass spheres at different heights, the lamp permits infinite combinations, in a sort of “controlled freedom”, giving rise to always different light clusters, each time leading to a different lamp, a one-of-a-kind creation. The blown glass spheres are available in satined clear or in glossy metallised finish. In the clusters core is the light source – a double high-efficiency LED module –, generating warm, diffused indirect lighting, aimed both upward and downward.
Compendium (R&D for Luceplan 2014). Available in floor and suspension versions, it is essential, elegant lamp that spreads an ample quantity of light on surfaces. In the suspension version it is versatile, for direct downward or indirect upward lighting, adjusted by rotating the long extruded aluminum reflector at the time of installation. Linear and tee joints make multiple compositions possible. In the floor version the reflector can freely rotate on the aluminum cast base for an easy orientation of the indirect light.
Ascent (R&D for Luceplan 2012). A table lamp with minimalistic design and innovative technological content. With the simple gesture of sliding the lamp's head up and down, an innovative digital pickup on tracks controls the dimming of the intensity of light output. More, the stem is mounted on a rubber spring to tilt elastically against incidental impacts. RedDot Design award 2014. Compasso d’Oro XXIV.
Synapse (R&D for Luceplan 2012). An RGB lighted "cell" can be joined modularly to compose a free-form "neural net", which can be hung vertically or fixed onto the wall/ceiling. The LED light-sources are hidden and the net shines only by means of reflection/diffusion on its sculptural cells. With the remote control you can select a static color hue, intensity, saturation or even a personalized dynamic color loop for the net. Several net-color setups can be stored in "scenes", which can be recalled according to the chosen ambient characterization. The hermaphrodite digital connection between the cells has been worldwide patented.
Hope hanging lamp (R&D for Luceplan 2009). The modern reinterpretation of the chandelier. A series of custom designed thin polycarbonate Fresnel lenses virtually multiply the light source for a sparkling effect and reduce its glare for maximum comfort. A couple of a small and a big lens - the leaves - are fixed by bulging onto several thin policarbonate branches, which are hooked on a lightweight stanless steel structure. [...]
Hope hanging lamp (R&D for Luceplan 2009). [...] Available in a wide variety of versions: suspended (4 sizes, from 72 to 200cm diameter), ceiling (2 sizes), wall (2 sizes) and floor (2 sizes). The suspended version can be aggregated into vertical compositions. RedDot, Prize of the Prizes for Innovation by the President of the Italian Republic, Compasso d'Oro XXII, Philips Europe BIC and other awards.
Berenice LED table lamp (R&D for Luceplan 2007). Upgrade of the Berenice lamp series with a 10W LED light source. The heat-sink assembly has a customized plug for retrofitting the LED head to existing Berenice halogen bulb versions. The magnesium heat-sink ensures correct heat management of the powerful light source, while maintaining lightness in order not to compromise the manual adjustment and stiffness of the body.
