Jerusalem Cube
This is a three-dimensional fractal that I came up with in 2010, after finishing the book.
Superficially similar to the Menger Sponge, the Jerusalem Cube is pierced with cross-shaped rather than square-shaped holes, and is notable for using components of two different iterations at each stage, and for having scalings based on an irrational-number ratio. The shape nicely combined some work that I was doing on fractals and irrational-number-based packing systems.
The Cube seems to have caught people's attention and now has has a Wikipedia page.
