Frank Hornby 150th Anniversary project
This project was created to mark the 150th anniversary in 2013 of the birth of Frank Hornby, creator of three major British toy brands, Meccano, Hornby Trains and Dinky Toys.
I designed the project, wrote the funding application for the Heritage Lottery Fund, managed the grant application through to a successful conclusion, and then successfully applied for the Project Officer post created by the project.
The project got TV and news coverage, and the anniversary ended up being commemorated on 15th May 2013 as a Google Doodle.
The project was also cited as an inspiration for the creation of the Meccano Lab in Paris.
