5th Generation Farmhouse

This farmhouse has been in the family for 4 generations, and the homeowners want to update it for the 5th generation. The main entrance is the side door, and they want to make it more obvious and inviting for visitors. The house may look big, but it does not have the amount of storage that a modern family looks for.

DESIGN SOLUTION: Part of an older addition is removed and rebuilt with grand entrance on the side of the house. A new 2 car garage is attached to the house with a storage loft above it. The addition also has a large mudroom and pantry to help with the storage needs. On the second floor, a new primary bathroom is added over an existing sun room.
