Electric Bicycle
Equipped with a 48V, 40A, 1920W motor and 48V, 15Ah Li-polymer battery, this electric bike is capable of at least 34 mph. It has a sleek aluminum frame, light-weight single-arm carbon front fork, and the wheels are a combination of carbon fiber centers with Al rims. The bicycle also features a Toroidal Continuously Variable Transmission, controlled via buttons on the right handle bar.
I designed and modeled this electric bicycle for a digital solid modeling (SolidWorks) class. Because of my pre-existing knowledge of SolidWorks, I was allowed to spend the entire semester on an object of my design, rather than having to merely recreate existing objects.
