Most adults recovering from stroke need at least 9 hours of speech and recovery therapy per week to continue to make progress in regaining their skills. The average recovering patient only receives about 2 hours per week. The concept for my capstone project was to design a kit that includes a series of flashcards, worksheets, and other tools to encourage stroke victims to take part in at home speech therapy.
