Swan Dress. - Designed and constructed all from scratch. I set out to design a dress that illustrated the shapes and curves of small bodies. I drew inspiration from swans and a range of Vera Wang's wedding dress collections. The pattern was constructed by draping the fabric on a mannequin and transferring the information to paper. I used a polyester Chiffon to construct the garment and attempted to eliminate waste in all areas.

The Silk Chiffon Ball Dress. - This evening garment was made for a leavers ball, constructed by draping the fabric on the models body, working with the characteristics of her unique body shape. If I were to re-do this project, I would have draped the fabric on a mannequin using pins to create drapes, pleats and folds. Giving an accurate mock-up avoiding confusion in the final garment. In spite of the rushed outcome I am very satisfied with the fit of the dress and the artistic characteristic the fabric gives.

Fashion Body & Form - A key aspect in the role of a designer is forecasting. This project looked at designing clothes for 2030, I became very passionate about the idea and looked into how you could reduce the amount of outfits one has. In 2030 everybody has contact lenses which illustrate style and appearance of people. Through the lenses you can see what people are wearing. Designing your outfit is as simple as an upload and can be done numerous times a day.
